Cinnamon Pull Apart Monkey Bread Recipe

This is a great recipe for easy cinnamon pull apart monkey bread recipe that uses homemade dough made my in my bread machine. Whether you use homemade dough or refrigerator biscuit dough, this is an easy recipe that’s great for busy moms and families.

I’ve been really wanting an opportunity to make Monkey Bread and recently my Sunday School class had bring breakfast day. So I seized the moment and decided to make it! However, I wanted to make individual servings and when I found where people put the bread into muffin tins, I was all over that!

I used homemade dough recipe because I didn’t have 3 containers of biscuit dough. I thought this dough worked beautifully with this recipe. My younger son said they were amazing and that he loves that kind of food and I should make it everyday. Kid approved for sure!

Easy Pull Apart Monkey Bread Recipe

Servings: 12
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
3 (12 oz) packages of refrigerated biscuit dough – I used homemade dough recipe found here.
1 cup of granulated sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place cupcake liners in your muffin pan and spray the liners with non-stick spray.
2. Put the sugar and cinnamon in a large plastic bag. Cut the dough in to bite-sized pieces.
3. Put the dough a few pieces at a time into bag and shake until all pieces are coated with sugary mix.
4. Fill each tin with dough. Keep doing that until all dough is used or pan is full.
5. In a small sauce pan, melt the butter and add in the brown sugar on medium heat. Bring to a boil for about a minute and ensure that all clumps are desolved before removing from heat.
6. Spoon a tablespoon of mixture over each muffin and add walnut and/or raisins on top if so desired.
7. Bake the muffins for about 15-20 minutes.
8. Allow muffins to cool just a bit and enjoy!
