Servings: 32 sticks
Prep Time: 40 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
1 package of string cheese (16 pieces)
½ cups All-purpose Flour
2 whole Eggs
3 Tablespoons Milk
1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley Flakes
1 Tablespoon Garlic powder
1 Tablespoon Paprika
2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
Marinara/Pizza Dipping Sauce
Unwrap each string cheese and cut in half.
Put flour in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk milk and eggs.
In a separate bowl, mix together Panko crumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and parley.
Roll each mozzarella stick in flour.
Put in egg/milk mixture.
Roll through in Panko crumbs. I found it helpful to press down the crumbs on each side to get a thicker coating.
Do that for each stick.
Put in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Heat 1 and 1/2 inches of canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook 6-8 sticks at time to the oil
Keep an eye on them and turn over for even cooking; less than 2 minutes.
Don’t allow cheese to bubble and leak.
Serve with warm dipping sauce.
