31 Days of Must Read Cookbooks {Day 7}

31 Days Of Must Read Cookbooks

I’m taking part in the 31 days challenge this year. As a collector of great cookbooks, I decided to share 31 must read cookbooks. Some of these books will be books that are part of my collection that I have found useful through the years, while others are books I come across in the library.

The Southern Tailgating Cookbook

My 7th book of this series that I’m recommending is one by Taylor Mathis, who is a blogger I followed before this book was even written. His food photography is absolutely amazing. If I only had enough time and patience to get such beautiful food shots. His book, The Southern Tailgating Cookbook: A Game-Day Guide for Lovers of Food, Football, and the South, talks about traditions of tailgating, game-day, and of course the food that all goes along with southern football.

It’s pretty cool to see a picture of one of my favorite places that is just down the road from my house. This is Auburn’s famous Toomer’s Corner, for those of you who aren’t familiar. I’ve written several articles about this favorite place of the Auburn family. here/here/here/here/here

These salsas look amazing, but I think the first thing I want to cook from this book are the Bacon and Brown Sugar Muffins with Bourbon Glaze. I would have already made these, but bourbon isn’t something I keep around the house. So off to the store I go to get some.

The Southern Tailgating Cookbook

This book is a must read cookbook because it gives a great overview of what game days are like in the south. Whether you’re college football fan or not, you will find some really amazing recipes that can be prepared for a party or even just at home for a regular meal. Taylor’s pictures will make you want to get in the kitchen and get cookin’!
