30/365.2011 {Following a Shadow}

Following a Shadow

Teenager wanted a new picture for his profile on Facebook. He wanted one with his practice jersey on with just his back. I did a few to please him and then did a few to please me. 😉 Here’s one I did for me and then I edited it with a Midnight Sepia action. Kind of dark, but dreamy.

29/365.2011 {An Apple a Day}

I don’t think I’ve ever talked about my kids’ eating habits. They are both grazers. They would eat all day if I let them, especially fruits. Grapes, strawberries, oranges, bananas, apples…you name it, they’ll eat it! They would both eat 3 apples a day if I would let them, but it could be worse, right?

I’ve been going through my Photoshop actions, so I’ve been trying some out and deleting a bunch. On this one, I used Honey Retro from the Coffee Shop Blog. If you haven’t checked out that site, you’re really missing out! Go see all the wonderful free actions and tutorials.

One of the many trees in my backyard.

This has been edited using a Lomo Action. I’m actually not sure where it came from, but if you google Lomo, it’ll show you tons of options.

*26/365.2011 {Assignment:I Spy~Ball}

I was outside today looking for something interesting to take pics of. After uploading my pics, I saw this picture and it dawned on me that this is a ball, which I could use for this post. Yay! You can definitely tell it’s been through rain, sleet, and ice this winter.

20/365.2011 {New Signs Downtown}

I was so excited to see these new signs were hung downtown today. It’s great to have these little reminders of an amazing season. Took this from my car and was lucky enough to get part of Toomer’s Corner in the background. Tomorrow is the HUGE celebration.

LOVE this!

*19/365.2011 {Shape Challenge: Donut}

I’ve spent much of this week keeping my eyes peeled for donut shaped objects or spots in architecture. But, when Candi posted hers it inspired me to think of other colorful donut shaped things that could be stacked and this is what I came up with.

17/365.2011 {Daisy at the Vet}

Saturday the kids were running around in the yard with Daisy, all three just having an absolute blast. The fun ended when Daisy when she decided she was Wonder Dog and could leap off the deck. Needless to say she came in side limping. It didn’t get any better the rest of weekend, so I had to take her to the vet today. It appears to be an injured knee based on Dr. Bond’s examination. We opted not to do x-rays and to let mother nature take care of it. Please pray that she heals, so that she can get back to chasing the kids around in the yard, minus the deck!

Daisy's 1st Trip to Dr. Bond

See a few other pictures of her at the vet here. (All of these were taken with me having one hand on her and the other hand just holding the camera out, hoping for something decent. Had to make sepia tone because the wall color does not lend itself to picture taking.)

16/365.2011 {Awning Raindrops}

This is the rain streaming off the awning at our front door. As you may notice, I may be a day late posting pictures more often than not. Since I’m back to regular hours, I’m not at home in the afternoons and evenings to that makes it difficult to post on time.

May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
