I had planned to use this picture as part of a Weekly Scavenger Hunt, but I’ve just been too busy and overwhelmed with everything this week. So I’m using it today! 🙂 This is some of the new furniture that is in the library. Chic & modern??

I am hearing…
soft sounds of voices.
Around the house…

Ever since I found this picture in an old album, I’ve adored it. My Grandmother is the 2nd from the left with her friends. It looks like something you would see in a magazine.
I received a loaf of Nature’s Pride Hearty Wheat with Flax as part of the Foodbuzz Featured Publishers Program.
Made with Pure Olive Oil
22 Grams of Whole Grains per slice
100 calories per slice, see below for more nutrition info.
I thought this bread had a good taste. This bread would be great for sandwiches as it does not have an overwhelming flavor. Very “natural” as the package states. Nice texture. It does have the seeds in it, so if you’re not fond of that you may not enjoy this product. I know my boys complain when I buy bread with seeds or nuts in it. I like it, because it is a little different.
After I tried it plain, I spread Nutella on it. Did I tell you about my addiction to Nutella? Oh I love that stuff! Too bad it’s so expensive.
As part of the Foodbuzz Featured Publisher, I received Nature’s Pride to taste test and give my opinion about.

I am thankful for…
spring.
Teenager is…
filling out his March Madness brackets.
Monkey is…
obsessed with harassing Daisy lately. Ugh!
From the kitchen…
killer Apple Dumplins. Made them this past weekend. Rob said they were probably the best thing he’s ever eaten!
I am wearing…
my gown.
I am creating…
lots of collages lately.
I am going…
to praise God through it all.
I am reading…
Jam it, Pickle it, Cure it, and other Cooking Projects by Karen Solomon (recommended by Tracy).
I am hoping…
to not wake up awful pain again tomorrow.
I am hearing…
sarcasm from Sue Sylvester on Glee.
Around the house…
still a mess. Trying to work on it when I have energy. Oh how I wish I could keep it organized. I used to be UBER organized…till I got married and had kids.
One of my favorite things…
the song Raise Your Glass by Pink.

I haven’t talked about my time at my Walk to Emmaus, because like I’ve been told be previous pilgrims, words could never express the experience. It’s a truly amazing event, something I recommend for all Christians.
I received this during my walk and I just love it. Can you read it?
I’ve been wanting a new banner for my scroller at the top. I mentioned it over on my facebook page that I wanted a change and my wonderful Sister-in-law, Maria, jumped to action. Yes, I’m so priviledged to have a sis who is a SCAD graduate and an amazing Graphic Artist/Designer. So I threw her a couple ideas and she created the new and improved Magnolia Mom!
I’ve mentioned it before that my blog has been reinvented over the years for or better or worse. LOL! I thought the idea of a character juggling things in life was perfect. She also did a new log as well. Awesome!
Thanks so much to Maria for being a GREAT sister and a GREAT designer. Love my new “me!” Thank you!
The boys are on spring break this week. Today we took Daisy for another walk and I got some cool macro shots, since my other lens is broken.
See more pics of our walk here.
Today I grabbed my camera bag on the way out of the house. I thought I might stop off somewhere real quick before heading to work and get my shot for the day. I for once had cash. As I sat at an eternal light, I took out my camera and tried to take a picture of the 20 dollar bill I had. I kept pressing the button trying to get the lens to focus, but it did nothing. I looked at the lens and saw something wrong. As you can see from the pic, it’s jammed in and it’s crooked. Warmth rushed over my face as I became very upset, trying to figure how this happened. I went straight on to work and looked up on Canon’s website about repair. It quotes $90 + shipping and tax. I was thinking the lens isn’t even worth that. After all many people refer to these kits lens (Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens) as “paper weights.” Although for me it’s the lens I use most of the time. I then started looking on eBay and saw that this lens is starting off for less than $20. I also called the local camera shop to see if they had a repair guy and they do. I’ll probably try to take it by next week and see what they can do. Ugh!
I later remembered that Tuesday night after Teenager’s confirmation, when I opened my car door, my camera bag rolled out on to the concrete. It must have landed with the lens down and that’s when it must have jammed. 🙁 I am thankful it wasn’t my other 2 lenses or my camera!
